Winning an award is always exciting, but winning eight is truly exhilarating! We’re honored that our groundbreaking architecture—which includes both Ambarella’s Oculii™ adaptive AI radar software and our CV3-AD family of highly efficient 5nm AI central domain controller systems-on-chip (SoCs)—has been recognized for its excellence by some of the top electronics-industry organizations and publications, as summarized below.
Among them was the Edge AI and Vision Alliance, whose founder, Jeff Bier, said, “Kudos to Ambarella for investing and innovating in AI perception software. Cost effective, high performance imaging radar sensing is critical for realizing the full potential of ADAS and L2+ to L5 autonomous driving systems as well as autonomous robotics.”
The Alliance, along with five other respected institutions, singled us out for innovating the world’s first centralized 4D imaging radar architecture, which for the first time allows both central processing of raw radar data and deep, low-level fusion with other sensor inputs—including cameras, lidar and ultrasonics. This breakthrough provides vehicles with greater environmental perception and safer path planning in AI-based ADAS and L2+ to L5 autonomous-driving systems, enabling a more comprehensive view of the surroundings and a safer driving experience.
